The M26 is a short link motorway, around 10 miles long, connecting the M25 near Sevenoaks to the M20 near Wrotham in Kent. It was built to bypass Sevenoaks and ease pressure on local roads, but it's also known for a notable quirk: due to local opposition when the road was planned, the M26 doesn't have a direct slip road connection to the westbound M20 or eastbound M20 in one direction, meaning drivers heading certain ways between the two motorways have to use local roads instead of a seamless motorway-to-motorway link.

Not fully. Due to the original road plan and local opposition when it was built, the M26 lacks a direct slip road link to the M20 in one direction, so drivers travelling that way need to use local roads instead.
