The Match that took place on the 16th of March was one to go down in history with the fans on both sides raving harder than ever, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Like that big war in 1066 that all history students cover in secondary school. With Chelsea being 12 points being the leaderboard topers this season, Liverpool. This was truly a moment to treasure in the Chelsea play history, especially considering how they were literally down by their key striker, Kai Havertz, from the offence.
The score was scored well by the makeshift striker this game, Marino. The man controlled the game beautifully and with precision. Now that isn’t to discredit Chelsea’s gets too. They also put their best foot considering how they were also capped from their best players, namely Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer. The 20th minute flip that Merino landed was a sight to behold and it was just what Arsenal needed. Since their initial try to get the premier league title a couple seasons ago, they have been playing tactically and with force.
With all the main players off, it’s not hard to see why. But the game could have been better with much to be anticipated from fans and the manager himself as he mentions in the BBC interview after the game. He expressed his pride towards this endeavouring win but also expressed regret over the missed goals the team could have scored to get them that much closer to their aims.
On that topic, there was several let downs by Arsenal to get a couple more goals in hence by they have Arteta has been so wary with their positioning. With this newfound success by Marino, it just goes to show that Arteta’s plan is paying off and was indeed justified despite prior backlash for it.
On the flip side, Chelsea saw a huge loss with no goals to show and the game against them. They struggled much without palmer, who despite being in rough shape was still an asset to the team. Having scored 38% of the 53 goals they scored thus season, it’s no wonder they took as big a blow as they did this game, and the odds weren’t in their favour. They had plans for the champions league but who knows how far that will go? With 0 to no wins this season, it’s highly unlikely.
Do you think Arsenal will finally see its season of glory? Or will Chelsea its entry into Chelsea any time soon?
